Jacqueline de Leeuw wants to advance the nursing profession and patient care. To do so, she has studied diligently and obtained a PhD during her nursing career. This was also when she discovered the benefits that IT can provide care-giving. De Leeuw was so successful in exploring this often disregarded topic, that her employer bestowed the newly created role of a Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) upon her.

Dr Jacqueline de Leeuw’s demeanour reflects an enthusiasm and optimism, which is associated with those that enjoy their job. She describes herself as “hungry for knowledge” and eager to “take my profession forward.”
